As of 2015, all Electrolux refrigerators come with a one-year limited warranty that covers all functional parts against any defect in workmanship or materials. This warranty stipulates that Electrolux must cover the costs of any necessary parts or labor to repair any defects that occur within this period.
Electrolux also covers the cabinet liner and the sealed refrigeration system, including the compressor, condenser, evaporator, dryer and tubing, by an additional five-year limited parts warranty. Any Electrolux refrigerators purchased between July 1, 2013 and June 30, 2015 are also eligible to receive an extended three-year parts warranty. In order to qualify for this extended warranty, the product must be registered with Electrolux North America within 60 days of purchase or delivery. This extended warranty only applies to parts, as the customer must cover the costs of labor themselves.
The Electrolux warranty is only valid for the original owner and does not cover any products that were used commercially or where the serial numbers have been altered, removed or can otherwise not easily be read. The warranty also does not cover against appearance related issues, including rust on either the interior or the exterior of the refrigerator. The warranty is also void if the refrigerator is transported outside of the United States or Canada.
