Valspar Plastic spray paint is another option that is said to work for rigid plastic surfaces. It is available in nine colors and takes two light coats; pick it up at Lowe's or other home improvement stores. Top Secret Coatings makes a plastic lacquer-proof primer that is a high-grade sandable base coat primer sold only on its website. This plastic primer can be brushed, rolled or sprayed on and fills and seals small cracks and voids. It is lacquer-proof, so any lacquer or polyurethane coatings may be applied over it without the worry of lifting or blistering.
