Rinse the garment in cold water until the excess spaghetti sauce has been removed.
Apply a small amount of white vinegar to colorfast items, or pour a small amount of regular laundry detergent on the stain if the garment isn't colorfast. Blot the stain gently with a damp towel or sponge to ensure the detergent or vinegar penetrates the fabric.
Rinse the stain with cold water until the detergent or vinegar has been removed, then wring any excess water out of the fabric.
Apply a commercial stain remover to the garment and allow it to sit for 30 minutes.
Wash the garment according to the directions on the care label using regular laundry detergent. If the stain is visible after washing, repeat the process of treating the stain with vinegar or detergent.
