Office Depot offers a wide variety furniture for home and office work spaces. Desks, chairs, file cabinets, bookcases, tables, storage cabinets and lighting are all available on the Office Depot website and most physical stores.
Office Max was founded in 1988. As of September 2015, Office Depot has over 1,100 retail stores spread throughout North America and over 400 stores in other parts of the world. In 2013, Office Depot and OfficeMax merged their companies to create the largest office supply chain in the United States, which was acquired by Staples in February of 2015. Both companies continue to operate in competition with giants such as Walmart and Target, while still serving customers with competitive prices on office supplies, technology and office furniture.
