As of 2015, a Bialetti Tuttocrema stove top milk frother costs $48 on the Amara Living website. The frother is made of aluminum and works on gas, electric and ceramic stove tops.
The Bialetti stovetop frother does not actually steam the milk, but creates a thick, creamy froth using a double-filter screen. It has a stay-cool handle and nonstick interior.
Bialetti also offers a Mukka Express stove top cappuccino maker that produces steamed milk in the upper portion of the machine. The cow-print style of this machine sells for about $93 on Amazon.com. As the espresso in the bottom of the machine enters the top chamber, it mixes with the steamed milk to create a cappuccino drink.
