Mold remediation products include baking soda, vinegar, ammonia, tea tree oil, hydrogen peroxide, detergents and grapefruit seed extract. There are also chemical mold remediation products, though some of these products may only be used by a professional remediator.
Bleach is a sanitizer that can kill indoor mold along with its pores. However, it cannot completely wipe out mold growing in porous materials. The best way to deal with a mold problem is to identify and cut off the source of water causing mold. Containing mold and setting up and proper ventilation during the removal of mold are also factors to be considered.
