A metal drip pan is most often constructed of lightweight metal such as galvanized steel and has many uses, depending on the type of drip pan purchased. Most often, metal drip pans are used in the auto industry to catch oil or other fluids during auto maintenance.
Drip pans range in size from small for singular oil changes, to industrial size for multiple jobs. Drip pans are even custom made in some cases. Drip pans keep harmful chemicals from staining garage floors or leaking into the ground and causing contamination. Some drip pans come with lids that are used to prevent spillage when the pan is full.
