Sunbeam Products offers five different types of electric throws as of 2015, including fleece, Loftec, microplush, Sherpa/Royal Mink and faux fur. Each type is available in different colors and patterns, and Sherpa/Royal Mink throws are reversible.
Sunbeam's electric throws feature thermofine wiring systems. Thermofine is a warming system that senses room, body and bed temperature changes automatically and responds to them. For example, if a user's arms are colder than the rest of his body, it sends heat to them. The throws also feature EliteStyle controllers that have three heat settings and a three-hour automatic shutoff. The throws are machine-washable, and all fabrics consist of 100 percent polyester.
Sunbeam's fleece throws feature 180-grams-per-square-meter fabric weight, 2-millimeter plushness, and they bear an extra-soft rating. Microplush material features 200-grams-per-square-meter fabric, 4-millimeter plushness and an ultra-soft rating. Loftec throws feature 200-grams-per-square-meter fabric, 8-millimeter plushness and a premium-soft rating, and sherpa throws consist of 250-grams-per-square-meter fabric, 26-millimeter plushness and a premium-soft rating. Royal Mink throws feature 200-grams-per-square-meter fabric, 2-millimeter plushness and a premium-soft rating, and faux fur throws consist of 260-grams-per-square-meter fabric, 10-millimeter plushness and a premium-soft rating.
Sunbeam's reversible throws display a solid color on one side and neutral-colored fleece on the other. Fleece and microplush throws come in a wide variety of solid colors, animal prints, plaid and a limited number of sports-team logos.
