As of March 2015, Black & Decker manufactures two models of SpaceMaker under-the-cabinet coffee makers with space-saving features. SpaceMaker coffee machines come in 8-cup and 12-cup models.
The Black & Decker SpaceMaker coffee machines are especially useful for small apartments, offices, RVs and other close quarters. The 8-cup and 12-cup models look essentially the same, with the latter carafe being a little larger.
The machine mounts directly to the flat underside of a cabinet. The coffee maker includes a water reservoir that slides out for filling. A thermal carafe is suspended by notched slots. Both models include a sneak-a-cup feature that lets users pull out the carafe before a brew cycle is finished. The machine senses the removal of the carafe and stops brewing until it is returned.
Other features for both models include digital programming that lets users set the brewing time up to 24 hours in advance, and a thermal-insulated carafe. Additionally, the plate onto which the top of the carafe slides is heated. The machine includes cord management hooks to store electrical cords out of the way. The Black & Decker SpaceMaker line of products also includes a matching space-saving coffee grinder that also mounts under cabinets.
