There are a number of different companies that manufacture propane refrigerators as of 2015, including Crystal Cold, Dometic/Servel, Unique, Consul and Diamond. The majority of Consul and Servel by Dometic propane refrigerators are fairly small, with an average capacity of around 8 cubic feet.
Crystal Cold manufactures much larger propane refrigerators, which range in capacity from 12 to over 22 cubic feet. In addition to standard propane refrigerators, Crystal Cold also manufactures propane freezers and refrigerator-freezer combinations, and all of its products are made in the United States. Diamond also manufactures a number of different sizes of propane refrigerators, including 10, 14, 17, 18 and 19 cubic feet capacity models.
Unique is another leader in the off-grid propane refrigerator business, producing seven different models that range from 3 to 18 cubic feet in capacity. All seven Unique models feature both a propane refrigerator and freezer, including the 3.4 cubic feet Unique 3, which has a small 0.4 cubic foot freezer. Most of Unique's propane refrigerator-freezers are available in the either white or black, although some models have stainless steel as a third color choice. Although Crystal Cold makes a 22 cubic feet capacity model, the Unique website claims that its own 18 cubic feet model is actually the largest certified propane refrigerator in the world.
