Draining a Kenmore Calypso washer manually begins with unplugging the washer from the electrical outlet and emptying the washer. Insert one end of a shake siphon hose into a bucket and another end in the washer tube. Allow the water to flow through the hose and siphon it into the bucket. Pour the water out, and dry the interior of the washer using dry towels.
- Prepare the washer
Unplug the washer from the electrical socket, and remove all cloth items from the washer. Wring the clothes over the washer tub, and place them in a basket. Position a bucket in front of the washer, and insert one end of the shake siphon in the bucket.
- Siphon the water out of the washer tub
Insert the other end of the shake siphon hose that has a metal valve on it into the washer tub. Shake the hose through the water so that it sucks up the liquid. Ensure that the hose forms suction and the water flows through into the bucket.
- Drain the washer
When the bucket becomes three-quarters full, remove the siphon, and pour out the water. Repeat the process until there is no water left in the washer, and dry the inside part of the washer using dry towels. Allow the interior to air dry by leaving the washer lid open before starting repairs.
