To make a small bucket of homemade outdoor window cleaner, mix 2 cups of water, 1/4 cup of white vinegar and 1/2 teaspoon of dish detergent. Use a soft bristle scrub brush or sponge mop to apply the solution to your windows. Before the solution dries, rinse it with clean water. Do not wash windows when they are directly in the sun to prevent the solution from drying before it is rinsed.
For high windows, use an extension pole to scrub and a garden hose with a sprayer attachment to rinse. When finished, do not dry the windows manually, but instead allow the rinsed windows to dry in the sun.
Another option is using a liquid dishwasher rinse aid such as Jet Dry in place of the white vinegar. Mix 1/2 gallon of warm water, 1 tablespoon of rinse aid and 3 tablespoons of dish detergent in a bucket. Rinse your windows, apply the solution, and then rinse again for best results.Learn more about Cleaning Products
