- Add the weed killer to a spray bottle
- Isolate the weeds
- Spray the weeds with the weed killer
Add 1 cup of salt to 1 gallon of vinegar and mix the ingredients into a solution. Add a dash of dish soap or citrus oil to the mixture.
Funnel some of the mixture into a spray bottle to apply it to plants.
Vinegar and salt can kill almost any plant. Therefore, it is very important that the mixture does not come into contact with flowers, vegetables and other garden plants. To isolate weeds near garden plants, cut off a large soda bottle at the middle. Cover the weed with the top part of the bottle with the bottle opening pointing upwards.
Spray weeds in driveways and patios liberally. To spray isolated plants, spray the weed killer into the bottle opening. Be sure to spray as much of the leaves as possible and avoid spraying garden soil.
