What Are the Main Parts of the Bissell ProHeat Pet Carpet Cleaner?

The Bissell ProHeat Pet Carpet Cleaner has three main sections: upper, middle and lower. The top area contains the upper handle and trigger that releases cleaning solution. Some models also feature TurboBrush storage in this section.

The cleaner midsection has the lower handle, brush and tool storage, as well as the power cord quick release. In addition, a ready light in the midsection indicates that the machine's heater is activated.

The base of the cleaner has the tank, handle release and flexible hose, as well as the turning brush, which cleans and grooms. The flow indicator spins when cleaning solution is dispensed and stops when the trigger is released or the tank needs refilling. The belt access door permits belt replacement.

The bottom has components that control the cleaning process, such as power and temperature switches. Another switch adjusts the cleaning solution for normal or heavy traffic. This switch also sets the water rinse cycle. A ReadyTools dial lets the user clean at floor level or above, such as for upholstery, stairs or baseboards.

In addition to the cleaner's built-in elements, owners can purchase additional attachments, such as a stain brush, pre-treat wand, hard floor attachment, and upholstery and crevice tools. An optional mesh tool bag holds extra gadgets.
