Looking for NSF rating when choosing a home or commercial appliance is essential when it comes to an appliance’s safety, efficiency and hygiene level. The NSF rating is recognised throughout the food appliance industry as being the highest standard mark available.
Only devices that undergo and pass a range of rigorous, stringent tests can obtain the NSF rating as of March 2015. As well as complying with food contact regulations, tested appliances must also pass electrical safety tests and hold an Energy Star rating to show that they are energy efficient. Additionally, the appliances must comply with CWA 15596 Europe Hygiene Standards.
