The Hoover website, Hoover.com, has a retailer locator to find local vacuum retailers. Hoover recommends using this locator or choosing from its list of authorized dealers.
The locator requires entering a ZIP code or the city and state. It works for retailers in the United States and Canada. For Canadian postal codes, make sure to include the appropriate spaces and dashes. After entering the code, click Search to view the results. If there are no retailers within the proximity selected, the results show the nearest retailer and note the distance from the ZIP code entered.
The results show the retailer’s name, address and phone number. Clicking on the retailer name provides more information, such as a Web address and operating hours. Retailers include small, neighborhood retailers and large department store chains.
It is important to use this locator or look through the list of authorized dealers that the Hoover website provides, because purchasing from an authorized dealer is the only way to get a warranty for the vacuum. As of 2015, some common authorized dealers include Costco, Amazon, Home Depot and Walmart. Some department stores, such as JCPenney and Sears, are also authorized to sell Hoover vacuums. Unauthorized dealers do not have Hoover’s approval to sell the vacuums, so any warranty may not be applicable.
