Lakewood Engineering and Manufacturing formerly produced a variety of small space heaters for home and office use. As of February 2015, the company is a subsidiary of Sunbeam Products and appears to manufacture only cooling fans.
The Lakewood Manufacturing and Engineering home page does not list any heaters and only displays the company's range of cooling fans. A number of Lakewood heaters can be found on e-commerce sites such as Amazon.com, but some of the products are in used condition or are limited in stock of new models. It is unclear if these are still being manufactured.
Its heater product line includes the Lakewood EP-2000 Flat-Panel Heater, the Lakewood 205 Forced Radiant Heater and the Lakewood 792 Forced Utility Heater. The EP-2000 is an ultra-thin unit that has adjustable heat settings of 1,000 or 1,500 watts. It also comes equipped with wheels for portability. The Lakewood 205 runs at 1,320 watts and has a carrying handle. The Lakewood 792 is adjustable to 750 or 1,500 watts, and is the smallest of the available units. They also formerly produced a heater called the Sun-Sational, which has a product recall out due to faulty electrical connections.
Lakewood did business independently until February 2009 when they were purchased by Jarden Consumer Solutions, which also does business as Sunbeam Products.
