Kobalt offers a variety of garage storage products, ranging from 18-drawer, 53-inch stainless steel tool chests to 48-inch jumbo storage cabinets. The full line of Kobalt garage storage products is available online or in stores at Lowe's, the certified retailer of Kobalt tools.
Kobalt also manufactures and sells portable workbenches, tool racks, storage trays and hydraulic stools. These products are manufactured with durability in mind, and are usually made out of stainless steel. All tools are backed by a hassle-free guarantee.
Kobalt was launched in 1998 by American home improvement chain Lowe's. The new line was originally intended to compete with more established brands of home improvement equipment, such as Sears' Craftsman and The Home Depot's Husky tools.
Lowe's delegated manufacturing duties of all Kobalt hand tools to the Danaher Corporation in 2003, but eventually cut ties and moved on to a team of manufacturers for its products. Since 2011, all Kobalt hand tools have been made by JS Products of Las Vegas, Nevada. Kobalt's screwdrivers are handled by New York-based Great Neck Saws, while their cordless power tools are managed by Chevron.
Lowe's has been one of America's largest retailers for home improvement products since 1946 and has successfully expanded into Mexico and Canada.
