RIDGID stationary power tools, handheld power tools and pneumatic tools purchased after Feb. 1, 2004 from an authorized retailer have a three-year limited warranty. All other RIDGID tools have a full lifetime warranty.
When RIDGID power tools come with a three-year warranty, the warranty applies to the original owner and is not transferable. The warranty covers all worn parts in products that are properly used and maintained. It also covers driver blades and replacement rings. The original purchaser of the tools can register for a lifetime service agreement that provides free service, replacement batteries and replacement parts for eligible products.
Reconditioned products receive a one-year warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty is limited and requires a receipt from an authorized retailer.
RIDGID repairs or replaces the other tools free of charge should they malfunction from any defect. The company warrants that all tools are free of workmanship and material defect. The coverage lasts for the lifetime of the tool. Warranty coverage ends when the tool can no longer be used for other reasons. To take advantage of this warranty, end-users have to send the tool through prepaid transportation to the headquarters or an authorized service center. Ridge Tool Company repairs or replaces the product. If after three attempts the tool is still defective, then the company offers a full refund.
Ridge Tool Company does not assume responsibility for issues that arise as a result of product misuse or abuse. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear.
