The Keurig K-Cup brewing system allows users to brew a single cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate in under two minutes. These machines can accommodate three different cup sizes, including travel mugs. Keurig offers over 400 varieties of K-Cups from more than 60 different brands, as of 2015.
In addition to the standard systems, the company also offers the Keurig 2.0 Brewing System, which features four-cup brewing capability in addition to the standard single cup. This system reads the lid of each K-Carafe or K-Cup to determine the proper brewing settings. From the control panel, the user is also able to select custom settings for hot chocolate, lattes or stronger cups of coffee.
The Rivo system allows users to brew espresso with a Rivo pack and froth fresh dairy or non-dairy milk to create an espresso beverage, such as a cappuccino or latte. The Rivo packs are only available in several flavors from the Italian company, LavAzza, as of 2015.
