Other than minor design variations, the primary difference between the Keurig B60 and the Keurig K45 brewing systems is that the B60 has been discontinued as of 2015, while the K45 is currently in production. Keurig still offers support for B60 models, which can be purchased online while supplies last.
The Keurig B60 Special Edition brewing system and the Keurig K45 Elite brewing system are very similar when it comes to style, function and performance, but there are a few notable design differences between the two models. The B60 model features a back-lit LCD screen, which allows users to program the digital clock, adjust beverage temperatures, and manage auto-on and auto-off functions.
The K45 does not have an LCD screen or programmable features. While the B60 displays information via the LCD control center, the K45 uses blue LED lights to display the machine's status; there are lights indicating when the user needs to add water and descale the machine and when the machine is heating water for a brew. This portion of the machine also has buttons for controlling power and the auto-off function. Both the B60 and K45 models offer three beverage sizes, which can be selected using the buttons near the LCD or LED control panels.
