Install Renew wire shelving covers for a 2- to 2 1/2-inch rail by measuring the shelf depth, picking the depth you want, removing the panel, attaching the clips and the rail, and clipping the cover onto the shelf. Steps in the procedure vary depending on the thickness of the rail, and wire shelves that turn at corners require some different steps as well.
The first three steps to installing a 1-inch rail are identical to those for installing a 2- to 2 1/2-inch rail, measure and choose the shelf depth, and remove the panel. After this step, 1-inch rails use tape instead of clips. Peel the tape cover off the rail, and press down the rail onto the panel. Apply to the panel, and peel the tape along the rear underside of the panel. Place the cover firmly onto the shelf to complete the installation.
To properly perform corner installations, begin by placing the panel on the first shelf so it rests on top, and install the cover on the second shelf. Measure the distance between the point where the two corner panels meet and the end of the first panel, and cut the rail to that length so it attaches properly.
