A Whirlpool dishwasher with a Quiet Partner Sound Package can be installed like other standard dishwashers. Quiet Partner is a proprietary insulation technology that does not require the consumer to perform special steps during the installation process.
Remove the dishwasher from the box, and place it so that the back side faces up. Check for the presence of the available connections. Take off the drain line cap from the dishwasher, and then secure the drain hose to the dishwasher, using pliers to crimp the clamp. Place the other end of the drain hose into the hole below the sink.
Gently push the dishwasher into position underneath the countertop. If the floor is not level, the height of the dishwasher legs can be adjusted with a wrench. Using the mounting brackets on the top of the dishwasher, secure the machine to the countertop with screws. If the countertop is made of granite or another solid surface material, attach a special undercounter bracket to the countertop with epoxy, and secure the dishwasher brackets to the under-the-counter one.
Turn off the circuit breaker to the dishwasher. Make the necessary electrical connections, or plug the machine into a grounded electrical outlet. Finally, attach the water supply line to the machine and secure the drain hose to the plumbing system.
