To install a stackable washer-dryer appliance, prepare the unit and the space, place the appliance, attach the dryer vent and water hoses to the appliance and attach the dryer vent and hoses to the appropriate places in the wall. Insert the drainage hose, and then plug in the appliance.
First, prepare the washer and dryer by removing all packing material and cleaning out the exhaust opening. If the unit is replacing an old one, clean out the wall exhaust opening. Likewise, place a bucket under the faucets extending from the wall, and flush out the system by running the water for a minute.
Position the stackable washer and dryer in its approximate location but with enough room to walk behind. Attach the flexible duct end to the dryer's exhaust opening. Use a screwdriver to secure the band clamp.
If not already present, insert a rubber washer into one end of the hot water hose. Thread the hot water hose onto the correct washer connection, typically labeled "H." Repeat the whole procedure for the cold water hose. Use pliers to tighten both connections.
Move the appliance as close to its final position as possible while still allowing for access to the back. Attach the hot water hose to the hot water faucet and the cold water hose to the cold water faucet. Tighten both with pliers, insert the drainage hose into the drain opening in the wall and connect the dryer to the house vent. Plug the unit in and push it into its final location.
