Place the pedestal sink where you want it, and mark its location on the floor or the wall so that it is clear where to mount it. Place a mark on the floor or the wall to indicate the right place to drill the holes for support.
With the sink in place, mark where each plumbing pipe needs to be cut to accommodate the new sink. Remove the sink and pedestal, and set them aside. Cut and install the new pipes. While the sink is set aside, drill the holes on the marks you made for wall or floor supports.
Install the pedestal sink, and attach all plumbing fixtures. Install the new faucet, and connect the supply lines.
Secure the sink to the floor or the wall, depending on what kind of pedestal sink you have. Caulk around the wall and floor once the sink is installed.
