To install a GE profile dishwasher, prepare a rough cabinetry, detach the leveling legs, connect the given drain hose to the dishwasher’s drain outlet and connect the unit’s power supply wires to the junction box. Ensure that the dishwasher is placed in a balanced position.
The rough cabinetry should have appropriate plumbing, an electrical junction and a properly sized opening. Shut down the power supply at the main circuit breaker and the water supply before starting the installation.
After placing the dishwasher close to the opening, use a wrench to unscrew the leveling legs connected to the wood shipping base. Reattach the leveling legs with a slight extension from the dishwasher. Remove the screws holding the front toe-kick panel.
Next, use a connector tape to cover the edge of the water supply pipe, and affix the elbow connector to the taped end. Wrap some tape around the pipe’s dishwasher end. Use a metal clamp and a nut driver to tighten the drain hose after connecting it to the drain outlet.
Slide the hose through the hole at the back of the cabinetry to the nearby sink cabinet, and match the dishwasher’s power supply wires with the wires in the junction box. Slowly push the dishwasher onto the cabinetry’s opening. Ensure that the unit is level side to side and back to front. Connect the drain hose to the sink drain, and change the toe kick panel.
