How Do You Hook up a Portable Dishwasher?

To hook up a portable dishwasher, remove the faucet’s screen filter, position the dishwasher, connect the dishwasher hose to the faucet, turn on the hot water, and run the desired cycle. Disconnect the unit and store until the next use.

  1. Remove the faucet’s screen filter

Using a wrench or pliers, carefully remove the screen filter located at the bottom of the faucet.

  2. Position the dishwasher

Roll the unit, and position it near the sink, with the backside against the front of the sink. Locate the electrical cord at the back of the dishwasher, in the recessed area, and plug it in.

  3. Connect the dishwasher hose to the faucet

Locate the hose at the back of the dishwasher in the recessed area, and pull it until it reaches the kitchen faucet. Gently pull the plastic collar located at the end of the hose, and connect the hose to the faucet. Release the plastic collar once the hose clicks into place.

  4. Turn on the hot water

Turn on the hot water, and load the dishwasher with the dirty dishes. Ensure that you follow the manufacturer’s directions when loading the unit. Close the door before turning on the dishwasher.

  5. Run the desired cycle

Turn on the unit, and select the desired wash cycle. Water fills the dishwasher once it is turned on. Turn off the hot water once the cycle is complete. Unplug the unit, remove the water hose from the faucet, and store the dishwasher.
