Home mole repellent recipes include a spicy solution of chili powder and garlic powder, and a repellent spray made using castor oil. They help in getting rid of moles without harming them.
Sprinkling a mixture of chili powder and garlic powder in the burrows that moles use to get access to the yard helps deter them. The mixture can also be sprinkled in other areas of the yard where moles are unwelcome.
To make the castor oil repellent, mix 1/4 cup castor oil, 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper and 2 tablespoons liquid dish detergent, then blend in 6 tablespoons of water. To use, mix 2 tablespoons of the solution with 1 gallon of water. Apply it to fresh mole mounds, or cover the entire yard to make grubs and earthworms unpalatable to moles.
