Top washing machine brands in India include LG, IFB, Samsung and Whirlpool. Bosch, Videocon, Panasonic and Godrej are also competitive contenders in the Indian appliances market as of 2015.
LG offers superior functionality combined with contemporary designs. Its front loaders have the TurboWash technology that significantly reduces washing time. Other features include ColdWash, 6Motion technology and the Steam feature. The top loaders have easy-to-read display panels and use anti-vibration systems that reduce noise.
IFB washing machines bear the trademark Crescent Moon Drum that protects fabric from tearing and they also have inbuilt filters for hard water treatment. Other features include the 3D Wash system and foam control systems and a mesh to protect the machine from rats. IFB claims that it is the only brand in India to offer spare part servicing for 10 years, as well as a 4-year warranty.
Samsung top loader washers are available in white and stainless steel platinum and the front loaders in merlot, white and onyx. The top loaders have a maximum capacity of 5.2 cubic feet and the front loaders offer 5.6 cubic feet. It takes about 30 minutes to wash clothes in the fully-loaded, front loader models with the Super Speed feature. Some characteristic features of the Whirlpool washing machine are the 12-hour Fan Fresh Option and the 6th Sense Live technology.
