In general, Harman stoves, fireplaces and central heating units can be purchased from specialty stores and authorized dealers that display these types of products, as of February 2015. Dealers can be found in most colder-weather states and in Canada, with some international dealers outside of North America.
Dealers get classified into four distinct types based upon how Harman stoves get displayed in a showroom. An authorized dealer has at least two burning displays in the store and has "high" levels of training and customer satisfaction. A gold dealer has at least five burning displays along with high sales, training and satisfaction. Platinum dealers have 10 displays on the showroom floor, while Fireside Premiere dealers contain the best selection of wood stoves for a home to go along with strictest standards of customer satisfaction, sales and training.
Customers can purchase stoves that use pellets or wood as fuel. Harman sells six pellet stoves, made of cast iron or steel, that efficiently burn biofuels to heat a house. Models have sensors in the exhaust to monitor temperature. The largest pellet stove available heats between 1,500 to 3,900 square feet and has a 76-pound hopper. Wood stoves load from the side or the top, and the largest of five designs heats homes from 1,600 to 4,300 square feet for 17 hours with one load of wood.
