  1. Drill holes in the frame

Use a stud finder to locate two studs. With the help of an assistant, hold the stained glass panel against the wall, and mark the stud locations on it. Lay the panel on a flat surface, and drill at least two holes for each stud. Place one hole at the top of the frame and one at the bottom. Position the holes at least 1/2 inch away from the glass.

  2. Insert screws and washers

Place a washer over each hole, insert 3-inch wood screws, and tighten them with a screwdriver.

  3. Fasten the panel

Have two assistants hold the panel against the wall. Use the screwdriver to drive the screws into the wall until the frame lies flat against it.

  4. Insert shims

Examine the position of the panel. If it is not flush against the wall, remove it, screw wooden shims into the back of the frame, and remount it.
