To remove grass stains from khaki pants, read the care label, coat the stains with enzymatic detergent, rinse it out, apply vinegar, blot the stain, and launder the pants. This 90-minute process requires enzymatic detergent, water, a bowl, an eyedropper, white vinegar, paper towels, detergent and a laundry machine.
- Read the care label
Read the care label, and note the recommended water temperature and washing machine cycle.
- Coat the stains with detergent
In a small bowl, mix powdered enzymatic laundry detergent with water. Lay the pants on a flat surface with the stains exposed, and coat the stains with the detergent paste. Rinse the bowl, leave the paste on the pants for 30 minutes, and then rinse the fabric.
- Apply diluted vinegar and ammonia
Make a solution of two parts water and one part white vinegar. Load an eyedropper with the mixture, and apply it to the grass stains. Try to keep the vinegar off of the surrounding fabric. Blot the stains with folded paper towels, apply more vinegar, and blot again. Do this until the stain disappears.
- Launder the pants
Put the pants in a washing machine, and set the washer to the cycle and water temperature indicated on the care label. Wash and dry the pants.
