Bermuda grass needs a fertilizer that has nitrogen for strong grass blades, phosphate for strong roots and potash to help build resistance to diseases and drought. For killing weeds, use a type of herbicide chemical, depending on which type of weeds need to be destroyed.
Feeding and weeding of turf grass is best done separately. Fertilizers should be applied four times a year, twice with slow-release fertilizer, once with a winterizing formula and the fourth time with a fertilizer containing iron. For weeds, a pre-emergent herbicide should be applied three times a year, and use of an insecticide and a fungicide is also recommended.
