Some good tips for growing a peace lily plant are to protect it from drastic temperature changes, to allow it to dry out between waterings and to fertilize it seasonally. Another tip is to keep it out of direct sunlight.
Peace lilies thrive in temperatures between 65 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Dramatic temperature fluctuations can damage them. If peace lilies do not have proper drainage, or if they are not allowed to dry out between each watering, they become susceptible to rot. Peace lilies should be fertilized in the spring and summer. Due to their sensitive nature, these plants usually respond best to organic formulas. Since they do best in indirect sunlight or shade, peace lilies should not be placed in a very sunny area.
