The front door, backyard, basement and windows that do not overlook the street are great places to install security cameras. The cameras should show any entrance way for the homeowners to see what is going on.
Approximately 34 percent of robberies occur at the front door, and around 22 percent of break-ins happen at the back door of the home, according to Safe Sound Family. Homeowners should install cameras in these areas; the cameras can be hidden or left in plain sight. If the security cameras are in sight, they might discourage thieves, but the home invaders might also break them. A window that is not viewed from the street is another place a robber may try to get in, since it is not visible by neighbors or passing cars.
