DecorativePainters.org is the official website of the Society of Decorative Painters. It provides free painting projects in its monthly newsletter, entitled "Paint Party." The newsletter is available for download in PDF to both members and non-members. For example, the April 2013 "Paint Party" newsletter provides painting patterns for decorative bird feeders and kitty figurines made out of gourds. These patterns are accompanied by suggestions for the paints and brushes to use, appropriate surface preparations, gourd assembly and other supplies needed to complete the project.

Country Corner Crafts provides decorative woodcraft and tole painting patterns available for downloading and printing. Free patterns are categorized by theme, such as Americana, Birdhouses, Angels, Christmas and Springtime. An example of a painting pattern in the Americana category includes an "In God We Trust" heart. The pattern consists of a hand-drawn, oblong heart with three stars in the top third of the heart. A rectangle is located along the center line, reading, "In God" followed by a second rectangle located in the bottom third of the heart that reads, "We Trust." The pattern also includes structural and paint color suggestions.
