Glassware, stemware, mugs and cups should be angled downward between the tines of the top rack when loading a Bosch dishwasher. Load plates and bowls in the bottom portion of the dishwasher, upright and facing inward. Large platters and pans should be placed along the sides of the bottom rack.

Bosch recommends scraping solid food from pans, dishes and plates prior to loading into the dishwasher. According to the Bosch manual for dishwasher models SHE44C, SHE46C and SHE56C, users should load dishwashers to ensure maximum coverage of dirty surfaces.

If a Bosch dishwasher has an exposed heating element, plastic items must be loaded into the top rack. Dishwasher-safe plastics may be loaded into both top and bottom racks of Bosch 800 Plus dishwashers and other washers with concealed heating elements.
