Is the Frigidaire Control Panel Covered Under Warranty?

Quick Answer

For Frigidaire products purchased after January 1, 2015 and registered within 60 days, there is a 10-year parts-only warranty on all defective parts. Therefore, the cost of a replacement control panel should be covered. However, the owner is responsible for labor charges unless separate labor coverage was purchased.

There are caveats to the warranty. If a product is not registered within 60 days of purchase, the warranty is limited to five years. In addition, accessories, such as a control panel installed more than 30 days after the initial Frigidaire installation, are only covered for one year. Further, the warranty only covers replacement due to defects. It excludes failure of parts due to environmental influences, accident, misuse or improper installation.

Frigidaire's FAQ page states that products purchased after April 2, 2007 but before January 1, 2015 have five-year limited parts coverage. Customers can call 1-800-422-4328 to confirm warranty coverage.
