Features of Lexington's Victorian Sampler furniture collection include polished red oak construction with tiger oak detailing, ornate brass hardware, and cabriole legs. The collection includes several bed styles, mirrored night dressers, vanities and standard dressers.
Introduced in the 1990s, the Victorian Sampler collection from Lexington takes inspiration from ornate Victorian characteristics such as curved drawers, dovetail joinery and decorative scrollwork. In addition to king and queen beds and armoires, the collection also features accent pieces that include nightstands and secretary cabinets. Although Lexington no longer manufactures the collection, individual pieces remain in demand on the secondhand market. Restorers such as Rebecca Herrmann of the blog For the Love of Paint seek out Victorian Sampler pieces to paint and restore.
