The Keurig Vue system is a coffeemaking system with features such as a removable water reservoir, a touch display and strength control. It also allows for at least nine different brew sizes, permitting a carafe of up to 30 ounces.
The Keurig Vue system allows for a brewing temperature range between 187 and 197 degrees Fahrenheit and makes use of custom brew technology involving piston pump technology. This allows Keurig Vue users to adjust water pressure, timing and airflow, customizing their brews more precisely. The water pressure function enables users to adjust the strength of their beverages. For stronger brews, the Keurig Vue system technology slows the movement of water through the Vue coffee pack, enabling water to steep longer in the coffee grinds. The advanced water pressure and airflow functions enable users to create frothy, creamy, cafe-style beverages.
As of August 2015, the four different models sold under the Keurig Vue system are, in order of ascending price: the Keurig 2.0 K250 Brewing System, the Keurig 2.0 K350 Brewing System, the Keurig 2.0 K450 Brewing System and the Keurig 2.0 K550 Brewing System. The more premium Keurig Vue models have added functions such as a hot water on demand function, programmable controls, a flip-top lid on the water reservoir and a color touch display.
The Vue coffee packs accompanying the Keurig Vue coffeemakers are made from polypropylene and are partially recyclable. The Keurig Vue system is also compatible with K-Pack coffee packs from Keurig's single-cup coffee brewing line.
