According to Apartment Therapy, a website that focuses on solutions for small dwelling spaces, the Briva in-sink dishwasher uses about half the water of a full-size dishwasher. It fits as many as five complete place settings and completes the whole washing process in 20 minutes.
As of 2015, the Briva in-sink dishwasher, a KitchenAid brand, retails for $1,849 and requires a special order. For those with who can afford it, an in-sink dishwasher is an efficient appliance for people who live in a smaller apartment and use fewer dishes than a larger household. The lid pops up after the washing completes, allowing the steam to escape and hastening the drying process.
