Dustless blasting is a process used to strip paint, coatings, rust and dirt from many surfaces. Dustless sandblasting works for automotive stripping, building restoration, graffiti removal, boat cleaning and furniture restoration.
Dustless blasting mixes an abrasive and water in a blast tank and then uses an air compression system to spray it onto a surface at high pressures. Recycled bottle glass is a good abrasive to use because it is clean, inexpensive and environmentally friendly. Add a rust inhibitor to the water in the tank to prevent flash rust.
Most people consider dustless blasting to be superior to dry sandblasting because it has no dust plume, uses fewer abrasives, does not cause silicosis in workers and leaves the surface ready for painting.
