To disable Sabbath mode on a KitchenAid oven, open the door of the oven, press the Cancel/Off button, input a specific number sequence, and press the Cancel/Off button again. For double oven models, this procedure disables Sabbath mode in both ovens.
Open the oven door of a single oven, or open the top oven door of a KitchenAid double oven. Depending on the model, press Upper Oven Cancel/Off or simply Cancel/Off, and input the numbers seven, eight, nine and six in exact order on the number pad. When Upper Oven Cancel/Off or Cancel/Off is pressed again, the display screen should read "Sab Off," and users can clear the display by pressing Cancel once again. Close the oven door, and continue baking as normal. Once this procedure is complete, users may not set Sabbath mode regularly unless they re-enable the feature.
When the Sabbath mode is enabled, users can turn it on to put the KitchenAid oven in a nonstop baking mode that remains on as long as the oven is on. Heat icons remain lit, and the display screen shows no temperature changes or other messages. Sabbath mode also causes the oven to turn back on after a power failure, automatically setting itself to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
