Different types of staircase ladders include attic ladders, extension ladders, combination ladders, telescopic ladders and roof ladders. Some ladders provide access to just a few feet from the ground whereas some provide access to a third-story roof or terrace.
Attic ladders are retractable and are installed into the floor of the attic and ceiling of the room below. Extension ladders are used to reach high places and are leaned against some support such as a wall. Combination ladders include a scaffold and are self-supportable. Telescopic ladders are able to slide in and out to adjust in size due to overlapping sections. Roof ladders provide access to the roof and are either leaned against the wall or built into the roof like staircases
