Sears offers three different home warranties: a whole-house warranty, an appliance warranty and a systems warranty. Sears provides extra benefits, including annual heating and cooling preventive maintenance checks and discounts on appliance repairs. Warranty holders can also add optional coverage, such as sump pump coverage.
With each Sears whole-house warranty plan, customers have a $60 deductible, which is the fee the customer pays per service. Each plan also has a $10,000 cap per claim and an annual cap of $50,000. There is no service limit, and each plan has a 180-day service guarantee, explains Sears.
The whole-house warranty covers appliances and systems, as well as unknown pre-existing conditions. The appliance warranty covers major home appliances, including washers and dryers, built-in microwaves, dishwashers, trash compactors and refrigerators. With a systems warranty, customers receive coverage for major home systems, including the central air conditioning, heating, electrical and plumbing systems. With each warranty plan, customers earn Shop Your Way bonus reward points.
