A detergent that contains enzymes and chlorine bleach (for light clothing) or a stain remover additive (for colored clothing) removes dandelion stains from most fabrics. The clothing should soak in warm water and detergent for 30 minutes before being washed and dried.Continue Reading
Pretreat the dandelion stain with an enzyme containing detergent by soaking the item in warm water and a small amount of the detergent for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Then, rinse the clothing.
Add 3/4 cup of chlorine bleach to a regular wash to remove dandelion stains from white clothing. Use warm or hot water to wash the clothing if possible.
Pour a small amount of the stain remover additive directly onto the stain after soaking, and then add the recommended amount of the stain remover to the wash. Wash the clothing in warm water if the garment is cotton or denim.
Determine whether the stain has been completely removed before drying clothing. Do not dry the clothing if any dandelion stains are visible because heat may cause the garment to become permanently damaged. If the stain is not visible, dry the clothing according to the care instructions on the label.
