Crossley Carpet of South Africa is one of the largest Africa-based producers of woven carpets in the world. The company, which supplies custom woven products to customers located around the world, operates out of Durban, a port city in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
Crossley Carpet, which was established in 1947 under the name of CMC South Africa, began producing carpets under its current brand name in 1963. CG Smith Group, a company that focuses on global sugar trading, acquired Crossley Carpet in 1975. As of October 2015, Crossley Carpet operates under its own management group under the name Crossley Holdings Ltd.
