A concrete wall cap is the top surface of a structure, such as a wall, that is made out of concrete and designed to serve as protection. A wall cap typically features a single-directional or bi-directional sloping edge that serves as a channel for water to move down.
A properly designed concrete wall cap protects the wall beneath it from any potential water damage, allowing it to last longer. Concrete wall caps can also be made using either a cast on the construction location, or pre-cast and connected to a wall structure. Wall caps that are cast on location can shrink as the concrete dries.
