If the engine fails to start, make sure that the spark plug connection is secure, the battery is charged adequately and the control handles of the blade are engaged. Additionally, check the fuel level, look for clogs in the fuel line and see if a fuse has blown.
If the Cadet's engine performs erratically, remove any blockages from the fuel line or fuel cap, clean the air cleaner, and tighten the spark plug's connections. Also, check for any water mixed in the fuel, or pour fresh fuel in the tank.
If the mower cuts unevenly, level the deck, replace the damaged or dull blades, and ensure that the tire pressure is uniform. To resolve mulching issues, first mow the lawn on a high setting. Also, check and rectify dull blades, low engine speeds and improperly adjusted deck belts. Additionally, avoid mowing wet grass.
If the engine overheats, fill the oil, adjust the carburetor and clean the air filters. If the mower cannot be reversed or made to go forward, bring the transmission bypass lever from the service position to the operating one.Learn more about Tools
