Clean wood veneer by wiping it with a damp cloth, mixing together a mild soap solution, scrubbing away any tough stains, and rinsing the area with clean water. The timing of this project depends on the surface area. You need water, oil soap or soap flakes, and microfiber cloth.
- Remove light dust and debris
First, clean away any light dust or debris from the wood veneer by wetting a microfiber cloth and wiping down the surface. Make sure to wipe with the wood grain. Use only soft cloths to avoid scratching the surface.
- Mix together the soap solution
Pour 1 teaspoon of soap flakes or oil soap into 2 cups of warm water. Mix the solution together.
- Scrub away tough stains
Use the solution to remove tough stains. Dip a cloth into the soapy water. Scrub stained or dirty areas with the cloth. Divide the table into sections, and scrub one section at a time until the veneer is clean. Repeat this process as often as needed.
- Rinse the area
Either rinse out the soapy cloth or dip a new cloth in clean water. Wipe down the surface to remove any soap.
- Dry the area
Buff the surface with a dry cloth.
